How We Grow & Serve

The Christian Church is called to be a Community of Disciples. Discipleship is the means by which Christians grow and develop the character of Christ. Spiritual growth is neither automatic nor is it easy. The path to spiritual growth requires an intentional commitment to follow Jesus. We must want to grow, decide to grow, make an effort to grow, and persist in growing. One of the ways we grow in our faith is by studying the scriptures together with other Christians. UMMBC makes a concerted effort to provide dynamic and relevant learning opportunities through our Sunday School, F.A.C.T Night Bible Study and through many of our Youth and Children’s programs. We invite you to get plugged in and let the journey of discovery begin.

Not only are Christians called to spiritual growth, we are also called to be a people of service. Our ministry of service is how we become the hands and feet of Jesus in the world. We, the United Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, are committed to bearing witness to God’s love in the world through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.
